2. LEGITIMACY OF THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA
Most of the information we collect comes directly from you: it is either provided to us voluntarily or found to be necessary for the provision of our services.
The DCL processes your personal data to carry out its role and for the operation, development and improvement of services offered to users.
The provision of data, which are used exclusively for the purposes listed in Section 3, is optional; however, refusal to provide the data and failure to consent to their processing will result in the inability, on the part of the DCL to provide proper service.
3. PURPOSES, TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND PROCESSING METHODS
All personal data collected will be processed solely for the purpose of the DCL’s services, aimed at fulfilling its own stated purpose.
DCL will not process the information provided by the data subject for purposes other than those explicitly stated above.
In addition, the DCL will not make automated decisions based on the information provided.
All personal data collected are processed by automated and manual means for the time strictly necessary to achieve exclusively the purposes indicated above and in such a way as to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and security of the same by DCL staff and collaborators or by the individuals expressly appointed as data processors who act on the basis of specific instructions given regarding the purposes and methods of such processing.
4. RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA
Personal data may be disclosed to other public and private entities solely by virtue of rules of law or regulation, in order to achieve the purposes listed above in Section 3. DCL will not make international transfers of data.

DCL employs session (non-persistent) cookies strictly limited to what is necessary for the safe and efficient navigation of the site.

7. RIGHTS OF INTERESTED PARTIES
The individuals to whom the personal data refer, in their capacity as data subjects, may at any time exercise:
- The right of access to data (allows to know what kind of personal data the DCL processes and the characteristics of the processing that is performed);
- The right to request rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing;
- The right to object to the processing.
The data subject also has the right to withdraw/withdraw his or her consent at any time, without, however, affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before the withdrawal/withdrawal.
8. EXERCISE OF THE DATA SUBJECT’S RIGHTS

The request, in whichever form it takes, must include: the first and last name of the person concerned, a photocopy of the identity document, and an indication of the right to be exercised.
Please note that we may refuse to act on requests that we should deem to be futile, detrimental to the privacy of others, or contrary to a legitimate use of data where this is oriented toward ensuring the security of persons, environments, or property.
NON-DISCLOSURE OBLIGATION
Whereas the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (hereafter: DCL), with headquarters at Palazzo delle Congregazioni, 00193 Rome, Piazza Pio XII, no. 3
gives me access to extensive information, documents, texts, and confidential audio-visual materials, for educational use only, in order to enable me to carry out my study activities to the best of my ability while attending the eStudium Course, I hereby sign this commitment;
I acknowledge and accept that:
1. The sole purpose of this undertaking is to regulate, as part of the teaching activities of the eStudium Course, the use of confidential material and information regarding the conduct of classes and the contents of the teaching materials provided
2. The expression “Confidential Information” means all information received as part of the activity carried out during the course of study of the eStudium Course, whether in written or oral form or whether through any other means. “Confidential information” includes any information that has been obtained by reason of the activity performed, even in the absence of the requirements of evidence, and the dissemination and disclosure of which is explicitly not permitted for any reason.
3. All content covered by the course of study, including: syllabi, texts, materials and audio-visual recordings, and personal data of participants are considered “Confidential Information.”
4. As a contributor I will need to:
(a) keep “Confidential Information” strictly as such being prohibited from being used and disclosed in any medium;
(b) not use “Confidential Information” for purposes other than those set forth in this Commitment;
(c) not disclose “Confidential Information” to third parties.
The obligations and restrictions stipulated therein will remain in effect even after the study activity has ended, regardless of the manner or reason it has ended.
5. The obligations and restrictions in the preceding paragraph will not apply to information that:
(a) has come to my knowledge, without any limitation on use or dissemination, for reasons other than this collaboration
(b) are public, or become public, not because of my actions or omissions.
6. The obligation to maintain “Confidential Information” will be fulfilled if I take precautions against them to prevent their transmission, publication and dissemination, maintaining in this regard a level of reasonable diligence.
